For me, turbulent environments are a fascination. They are exactly the place, where responsible collaboration outpowers defined processes. It is even substantial for success.
It is my passion, to guide people and organisations, who are facing this challenge, to master their mission. To enable them to develop necessary skills and enter a state of self-dependability where organisational success otherwise will be unreachable.
I’ve led the IT Service Organisation of WEB.DE, the biggest german online portal site, from scratch through their very turbulent and hard inital 8 years, and enjoyed working with a bunch of highly talented people. I’m very familiar with environments of rapid change and undetermined outcome. You know you’re on your own if your manufacturer’s jaw drops as he realizes the size of your installation.
Since that time I’ve been working hard on working out the essence of strategies we figured out in trial and error, to find a method which helps organising IT service management (and other environments) in tough environment situations, primarily with the help of agile software development experts. As of 2008, I’m offering my experience as a freelance coach and consultant.
I’ve also been giving a lectures on IT Service Management at Karlsruhe and Mosbach Universities of Cooperative Education, with strong focus on agile methods. The first of their kind in Germany.
